I had a good time interviewing! I applied online and got a call for the interview about 1-2 weeks later. I met the boutique manager in person for the interview. They asked me how I would handle situations like if the boutique was full and a client wanted to come in. It was mainly situational questions and about my past experiences. The interview was very friendly and nice.

Behavioral Case

I had an initial interview with HR, then a second with the manager, and both went great. After that, I got a case study to see who they'd pick. Sadly, I didn't get any feedback even after getting that far. I sent two follow-up emails to HR about my case study and when they'd get back to me, but heard nothing. It's a shame not to keep candidates updated, especially at this point in the hiring process...

Behavioral Other

The interview had two parts. The first was online with a recruiter from HQ. The second part was in person at a store. The HR recruiter online was professional and had great manners, but the person responsible for the second interview in the store acted the opposite. While it's normal for interviews to reveal doubts about fit, the Cartier employee's behavior was not. They lost their manners, hospitality, and polite smile, becoming rude like a random passenger. I expected professionalism and a code of conduct from a Cartier employee. I didn't expect someone to start with a smile and end up interrupting, changing their tone, and acting rudely. I remained polite and dignified throughout, hoping to never see that person or return to that place. It's unfair because everyone else at the store was polite except for that one person. If Richemont is reading this, please give the interviewer at the Kudamm boutique a book on good manners.

I applied online and got contacted by TA about 1.5 weeks later for an online interview 2 days after. It was chill and good. Then I had a second interview with the in-store management at the store, which ran long, but was also good. I felt they were really into my profile. A week later, HR interviewed me online. This one was tougher, asking about my expectations, what I thought the role was, and how I could contribute. Right after, HR asked if I could meet the area manager in-store the next day. So I did, had a brief good chat, and then the area manager said the job was mine and they wanted to hire me. The manager came in, congratulated me, and we agreed on a start date and contract to be sent. I didn't hear anything for 1.5 weeks, so I followed up with TA. I'd also emailed the manager about vacation, but no response. The next day, HR replied saying the process was delayed, which was weird. A week after that, HR called late afternoon to say they could NOT offer me the job, blaming the area manager and manager because HR has the final say. When I asked why, HR said they had a different position to fill. Even when I offered to be flexible and postpone my start date by 3 months, they couldn't commit. I was shocked, especially from a brand like Cartier. Management never said a word. HR apologized, but it's strange they even posted the job. They reposted it on LinkedIn 3 days after the offer, and it seems like the third time in a year they've advertised this role. Even though they said I was a good match, they won't commit. It's strange they wasted my time and their resources. I'm really disappointed.
