Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cartier.
Commercial Manager
The interview process began with an initial screening by HR. This was followed by a second interview with the direct manager. Next, there was a practical case study relevant to the role, which involved presenting findings. After that, a meeting with the N+2 level manager took place, concluding with the final decision.
- What led you to choose the luxury industry?
Manager
I had a Teams interview with the Regional Senior Manager. The interview process was smooth, and the interviewer seemed genuinely interested in understanding how I would fit into the company culture.
- Tell me about a time you implemented a significant change.
Manager
I applied in person and got called in for an interview about 2 weeks later. It was an hour long conversation where they said my experience was strong but I didn't have enough years. They mentioned they wanted someone with about 10+ years in leadership and offered me an entry-level position. I thought this was rude and unprofessional because I applied for a manager position with my manager background. They wasted my time since they had my resume with all the dates. They emailed me some suggested positions and I sent them my salary requirements. Then they ghosted me. I've heard stories about rude companies but this was something else.
- Can you share an instance where you dealt with a challenging client and how you resolved it?
