The hiring process was very straightforward and brief, lasting only about 10 minutes. It mainly involved a quick discussion about my previous experience, specifically if I had worked in hospitality before. After that, I was hired immediately.

The first manager seemed unprepared and asked random questions off the top of her head. The second manager I spoke with asked about my availability and previous experience, but then I never heard back from them.

Behavioral Technical Case

I applied through Indeed and the District Manager called me right away for a 45-minute phone interview. She then passed my info to the DM for my area, who then called me for about a 1.5-hour phone interview. We talked about the store's P&L, finances, my GM experience, and leadership. It felt like a standard interview for a Store Manager. Next, I had to schedule an interview with a Senior Managing Partner. I met with the Training Managing Partner at his store and we mostly discussed Carrabba's culture, its founding, and what being a Managing Partner truly entails, including the 10% investment. The DM called the same day to schedule another interview at a different store. There, he laid out his expectations for his Managing Partners, the training process, and when I could expect my own store. He mentioned that he promotes people to MP when he feels they are ready and that it needs to be earned. I was offered the job then and accepted.
