Marketing
Someone hit me up on linkedin, we set up a phone interview. He said he'd let me know about next steps in 2 days, but never did. I followed up but then got ghosted, even though the interview went pretty well. It would've been cool if he'd just told me if they found someone better instead of leaving me hanging.
- What was the follower count on the largest social media account you've managed?
Sales Manager
The interview process was quite comprehensive, involving four distinct stages. Two of these stages were handled by a third-party recruiting firm, who were efficient and offered helpful guidance on what to emphasize and what to downplay. I felt I might have been a bit nervous during the sales call and perhaps missed highlighting some crucial points. However, the 5-minute presentation pitch was a novel and engaging part of the process for me, offering a fun and creative challenge. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience and would recommend it, provided you're committed to the role and company and have done your homework beforehand; you'll get a fair opportunity.
- Can you elaborate on your leadership approach, specifically whether you prefer a hands-off management style focused on metrics or a more involved approach with the team, including joining calls and offering coaching?
Sales Development Representative
The entire interview process was virtual. The first interview was a general chat with the recruiter about my background and interest in the role. Then, I had a sales case study with the sales manager where we role-played a scenario involving a prospect who clicked on an ad for the people's workshop. The third interview, which I underestimated, involved a 5-minute presentation to the recruiter and sales manager on how my values aligned with the company's, using information provided via email. I presented verbally using a script I prepared last minute. My lack of preparation was evident when the sales manager asked which company value I least agreed with, and my flustered answer led to more questioning where I performed even worse. It's crucial to prepare thoroughly and show genuine enthusiasm for the job. They value a hustler attitude and eagerness to learn over extensive sales experience, so be upbeat and sharp.
- Which of our values do you least agree with?
Project Manager
My interview experience with Cardone Ventures was great. The recruiters were super professional, friendly, and really knew what they wanted. They made it easy to see how my background fit. The whole thing was fast and organized. They moved through it quickly but I always knew what was next and had the info I needed. They communicated well and on time, which made everything smooth and not stressful. I was really impressed by how professional and on-the-ball they were. It's clear Cardone Ventures wants to hire the best and makes sure candidates have a good experience. Definitely consider them if you want to grow and make a difference!
