First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CapitaLand.
Intern
The interview process was really smooth, and the interviewers were super friendly and experienced. They were clear about what they were looking for and the qualities they hoped their interns would have. Overall, it was a good experience and lined up well with what the job entails.
- Could you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Asset Management Executive
Got a recruiter call the day after applying, then a F2F interview the next week. They went totally silent for over a month even though I followed up. They only told me I didn't get the job after I mentioned I had another offer. It's pretty disappointing because I was really into this role, but they didn't seem to want to be upfront with me.
- Can you describe your previous job responsibilities?
Manager
First up, we review your resume and basic qualifications. Then there's a quick chat with HR, like 15-30 mins, just to make sure you've got the right experience, know your notice period and salary needs, and seem like a good fit communication-wise and culturally. After that, you'll meet with the Department Head or maybe the exec team. This part's all about your leadership skills, how you talk to stakeholders, how you deal with problems and make choices, your big-picture thinking, and if you vibe with our company values and where we're headed.
- What would you say is your greatest strength?
Platform Marketing
The interview process started with an HR round, followed by two more rounds with different managers, all done over Teams/Zoom. Even though the job was originally for one team, the headcount was actually with another, which gave me a chance to meet people from both. The interviews felt pretty good overall, and the recruiter kept me in the loop. But, there were a couple of things that could have been better. One manager didn't have their camera on, which was weird since everyone else did and it made it less engaging. Also, a manager spent a lot of time talking about their own achievements, which didn't seem that relevant to why I was there. Lastly, the salary they offered was way lower than what I'd told them I was expecting and what I currently make. It would have been better to sort out salary expectations early on if they couldn't meet mine.
