First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cantor Fitzgerald.
Investment Banking Intern
We had a couple of interview rounds. The first one was virtual and lasted about an hour. Then there was a second interview that was in-person and took about 2 to 3 hours with the whole team. This in-person part was really about diving deeper to see if I was a good fit, checking my technical skills, and gauging my overall interest in investment banking.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Investment Banking Analyst
The interview process was good. It consisted of rounds 1 and 2, followed by a superday. The interviews were a mix of behavioral and technical questions, with the technical part focusing on valuation and primarily the 400 guide. I received a response a week after rounds 1 and 2, and then on the day of my superday, I was informed I received the offer.
- What are the levers and drivers of an LBO?
Equity Research Intern
Screening with HR then back to back interviews with associates. One was very junior, the other more senior. Very personable and easy questions. Stock pitch in a few sentences. The process was extremely drawn out, and it felt like I was lead on. Interviews went really well but I was not invited to move on after weeks of waiting.
- Can you pitch a stock in just a few sentences?
Machine Learning Engineer
The interview process looks like these. Hiring manager round + Coding round + (potential system design and ML round). Failed at coding round with no reasons. I passed all questions and test cases with desired run time complexity and also optimized my code suggested by the interviewer. No idea with reason of failure.
- Two LeetCode easy questions were asked, one directly coding and another debugging.
- One ML related coding debugging question was asked.
