Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cantor Fitzgerald.
Investment Banking Analyst
The interview process was good. It consisted of rounds 1 and 2, followed by a superday. The interviews were a mix of behavioral and technical questions, with the technical part focusing on valuation and primarily the 400 guide. I received a response a week after rounds 1 and 2, and then on the day of my superday, I was informed I received the offer.
- What are the levers and drivers of an LBO?
Investment Banking Analyst
The interview process involved initial on-campus screening followed by in-person interviews. The majority of the interviews were focused on technical aspects, with a smaller portion dedicated to behavioral questions. This was pretty standard for investment banking roles. Some of the interviews with analysts were relatively straightforward.
- Can you explain a Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis?
Investment Banking Analyst
The first interview was arranged by the campus recruiter. Following that, there was a 'Superday' which consisted of 5 interviews, each lasting 30 minutes. The outcome was communicated within 2-3 weeks. This is a typical interview process for investment banking roles and is similar to what you would find at other banks. The interviews covered both technical and behavioral topics.
