I had a really great interview. The interviewer was super welcoming and professional right from the start, which made me feel comfortable. They explained the role, the team, and the company culture really clearly. They asked good questions that let me show off my skills, and they encouraged me to ask questions too. I especially liked how they really listened, gave feedback, and described what success looks like. It felt more like a chat than an interrogation. They were on time, respected my time, and told me what happens next. They were professional and supportive, making it a top-notch interview. I felt valued, informed, and excited about the possibility of joining.

I went through three rounds of interviews. In the second round, I was given an assignment to create and present social media content. I showed my work to the hiring manager but heard nothing back. Then, I was ghosted. I know hiring can be tough, but it's a bummer to get no response after putting in time and effort, especially on a creative task. Even a quick update would have been nice. It’s not just unprofessional, it’s also discouraging for candidates who are really interested.

So the first interview was with the UX Manager. Then I had a second interview with a PM and another UX Designer. After that, I just got ghosted. The people were nice, but it's bad practice for a company to not let a candidate know after two interviews that they're not moving forward.

I got a call for an in-person interview because they needed to do a sewing test. I went to their main office, filled out an application, and the interviewer asked me some really basic stuff about the job, like pay and hours. Then, they took me to the factory floor with all the sewing machines. A supervisor watched me do a simple test on an industrial machine, just sewing some lines and folding and sewing the edges of a square. After that, they let you know if you got the job, need more training, or go straight to working.
