My interview journey began with a friendly phone chat with Whitney Montavelo, a recruiting manager. She really helped me get a feel for what it's like to work at CAMP Systems, explaining the company's structure, where its offices are, and its culture. After that, Whitney stayed in touch and set up an interview with the team I would be joining. This interview was a mix of getting to know each other and discussing my background and software engineering knowledge. Even though I wasn't the perfect fit for that specific team, Whitney was super nice and said she'd keep me in mind for other roles that might be a better match.

I recently interviewed for a Business Development Representative position at CAMP Systems and although I didn't get the offer, the interview process was pretty straightforward. It started with a 30-minute call with the recruiter, Mel, who gave me a good overview of the company and the role. She knew a lot about CAMP Systems and what they aim to achieve, plus she was really helpful and quick to respond to my emails. After that, I had three video interviews back-to-back with the Senior Director of Sales & Support, the Manager of Account Sales, and an Account Manager for their Helicopter program. These interviews were more detailed and focused on my background and experience. While I wasn't chosen for the job, I'm grateful for the chance to interview with CAMP Systems and would suggest them as a company to interview with because the interviewers were professional and respectful, and the whole process was well-organized.

So I had this phone interview, and then 5 days later, I had an online video interview. After that, I heard nothing for 2 months. Then they asked me to fly to Montreal for an in-person interview. They booked my flight last minute, and it cost me $1450 for the flight, transport, and hotel. After the interview, they never got back to me and didn't refund my costs. I sent like 5 emails and even called, but still no response. So now I'm out $1450 and no job, which feels great! Just telling me I didn't get the job would have been less painful, but no response after I spent my time and money is just heartbreaking.

Really liked the interview process. Things were a bit spaced out because of scheduling issues, but that's understandable with covid and remote work. The recruiter was awesome, super helpful with info and quick to respond, which is great when you're job searching and feeling uncertain. Everyone I talked to seemed really into the interviews, knew their stuff, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Overall, a good experience.
