The interview was about 20 minutes long. They asked about my sales experience, knowing I didn't have prior experience, and if that experience included commission. They seemed more interested in commission-based pay. The recruiter explained the starting salary is $50,000 base plus a draw on commissions, with full medical and dental benefits and a matching 401K. He mentioned it takes about 8 months to make a sale and requires making 50-80 calls daily within a specific territory. I was told a Sales Manager would contact me for a second interview if they were interested. They advised checking out their two websites (bank loans and equipment leasing) before the interview to discuss the company intelligently.

Short Phone interview, basically just to invite you to your first interview. First interview was a week later and was pretty laidback (no questions out of the ordinary). 2 weeks later I was called back for the group interview. The group interview had about 20 people invited back. The day consisted of an intro to the company 2 separate 15 min interviews. Also, a short writing assignment concerning an email you would send to a potential client.

We had a quick chat over the phone to go over the job posting. They mostly described it as a sales role, with not much room to grow professionally and no formal on-site training. You'd mostly be learning as you go.

I applied online and then HR reached out to me for a first phone chat. After that, they brought me in to meet with different company people, like the senior VP and account executives.
