We went to the C3I Hyderabad center. The registration process took about 30 minutes, involving filling out paper forms, which felt a bit old-fashioned. Afterward, an HR representative took a group of about 10 of us into a room and gave us a topic to discuss: Hyderabad traffic. I think we did well on that. Then, HR asked general questions like why we wanted to leave our current jobs and about our previous experience. They selected two people from our group, but not me. That's how the day ended. We weren't sure what the HR team was looking for, and I didn't get selected. I guess a better opportunity might be waiting for me.

So the interview process, it's a bit of a journey. First up, we have a JAM session to check your time management skills. Then, a written technical test covering iOS versions, Android, VPNs, and routers. After that, an oral technical round focusing on drivers. Next, a communication round where you'll need to sing an English song and narrate a movie. Following that is a managerial round with more technical questions. Finally, the directorial stage involves a drug test and a discussion about work culture etiquettes.

The whole process took one day, although there was a lot of waiting. There were 4 rounds in total: a jam session, a simple aptitude test, a telephonic round, and an operations round. In the first round, candidates had to speak about any topic for a few minutes. The second round involved very simple math and verbal questions. The telephonic round was quite complex, focusing on speaking skills and how questions were answered. The operations round felt relaxed. I got selected in the end.

Red flags all over. Applied online, and was screened shortly thereafter by the recruiter. She told me "finding someone at this rate of pay has been impossible." I should have dropped them then. As the process went along found that "city office" meant "suburban office three days a week" and that strict ITIL meant I wouldn't be able to reset the passwords of the executives I was to support. Met with other desktop support people as part of the interview process, and got the impression C3i is where careers go to die. As a new hourly person, I was asked to travel out-of-state via train to their main office in New Jersey for onboarding. Okay, but then telling me I'd have to wait nearly two months to start that was ridiculous. They wouldn't let me work for the client at all before then. To top it off, they sent me an internal email with the name of the person I was replacing, and from looking online it was clear no investment in training was made by or for said person, despite more than a decade with the company. Thankfully a better group picked me up before I was to start for this haphazard operation.
