First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Business Sweden.
Associate
The interview process was incredibly lengthy, spanning three months, which felt disrespectful of my time. Ultimately, it turned out not to be a good fit. While the interviewers were very nice and friendly, and I liked the culture, the process itself seemed very outdated and not well-suited for the American cultural context.
- Can you explain your interest in Business Sweden over other consulting firms?
- Describe a challenging collaborative project you were involved in.
Associate
It was quite easy, focusing on motivation and areas where Sweden excels. Then there was a business case about a client's export strategy, not involving calculations but rather mapping out relevant factors.
- Which Swedish industries would be a good fit for Sweden?
- Tell me about your motivations.
- In which sectors does Sweden have strengths?
Project Manager
The interview process was long and felt repetitive, not really worth the effort. It began with a basic screening question, 'Tell me about yourself.' The second stage involved a business case study that needed a presentation and Excel work, requiring significant prep. After that, there was a personality test which seemed pretty generic and not very useful. The final round was a group case study. Even though it covered a lot, the whole thing felt dragged out and I didn't get much useful feedback at any point. After putting in so much time and effort, I was left feeling disappointed. I wouldn't suggest interviewing here unless you have a ton of free time.
- Here is a case. How would you approach it? It's very management consulting style.
Client Accountant
After applying for the role, HR reached out pretty quickly and set up an interview for the next day. Everything was good until then. The next day, I had an interview with two people. The first person interviewed me for 8 to 10 minutes. I had some questions about the company, and when I asked about interviewing with the next person, she abruptly cut the call saying bye and didn't give me a chance to say bye. I stayed on the Zoom call for 5 more minutes waiting for the other person to join, but nobody did. Then I texted HR, and they haven't gotten back to me. It's been 3 weeks.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- What software are you knowledgeable about?
