First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Business Sweden.
Project Manager
The interview process was long and felt repetitive, not really worth the effort. It began with a basic screening question, 'Tell me about yourself.' The second stage involved a business case study that needed a presentation and Excel work, requiring significant prep. After that, there was a personality test which seemed pretty generic and not very useful. The final round was a group case study. Even though it covered a lot, the whole thing felt dragged out and I didn't get much useful feedback at any point. After putting in so much time and effort, I was left feeling disappointed. I wouldn't suggest interviewing here unless you have a ton of free time.
- Here is a case. How would you approach it? It's very management consulting style.
Project Manager
The initial interview was introductory. They talked about Business Sweden, asked some questions, and then gave me a business case to solve. I was surprised because business cases usually come later and companies usually give a heads-up. After that, I had to do an online test (SOVA test) that included quantitative, verbal, and logical sections, which was harder than I expected. I sent two follow-up emails, but never heard back. It takes time to prepare for interviews, so at least they could update candidates, win or lose. It's been three months and still no update on my application.
- Tell me about your experience with stakeholder engagement, and can you walk me through this business case in the Pharma sector?
Project Manager
A headhunter reached out and set up a Skype call with HR in Sweden. I messed up the interview time, but they were cool and rescheduled for the next day. The interview was actually consulting-focused, not just HR as I was told. I passed and then had an online test (Talent Q, really tough) before an onsite with the trade commissioner. I had to give a presentation on my consulting work, and it went great. I didn't get the offer because someone else had better qualifications, but I still think highly of the company.
