The interview went quite smoothly. The hiring manager started with some easy questions about my background, which helped ease any nerves. A lot of the discussion was about how I solve problems and work with others, and it felt like they were genuinely interested. There were a couple of tough spots, like when they asked for an example of meeting a tight deadline, but it made me think on my feet and stay calm. The vibe was professional but nice, and I left with a good sense of the job and the team.

The Bruker interview usually looks for technical skills, how you solve problems, and if you fit with the company's values. They'll ask about instruments, analytical methods, working with others, and how you've used science knowledge in practice. They really care about new ideas, accuracy, and if what you do matters in the field.

The interview process wasn't too bad, starting with a standard HR phone call and then an online interview. If that went well, an onsite interview followed. My main issue was a lack of professionalism. I got an offer, negotiated for a bit more salary, and then heard nothing back – no positive or negative response, just silence. They also didn't cover travel costs for the onsite interview, which made it seem like they're not flexible on salary or eager to attract candidates.

So I applied, and then like ten days later, I had my first interview, which was an HR phone screening. After that, I talked to the hiring manager on the phone. The final round was an on-site interview where I met with the hiring manager again and two other customer service engineers. The hiring manager's interview was super casual, more like a chat about my background, not really asking a lot of behavioral questions. The other engineers, though, they asked generic behavioral questions and didn't seem to know what they were doing, which was kinda weird. I got the offer about 3 months after the on-site, but I had already taken another job by then.
