I applied and a few weeks later, I was notified that I had advanced. I then got an email detailing potential interview questions. The interview itself was conducted over Zoom with approximately six interviewers. They read questions from a script, making it feel less like a conversation. Many interviewers had their cameras off. Despite it being an unpaid internship, I felt like they perceived my presence as a waste of their time.

There's just one interview round. HR person Michelle Soto is really responsive, warm and communicates clearly. You get the questions for the interview about 2-3 days in advance, and candidates are asked not to share them because they change every time. I applied for another role here earlier, then Michelle emailed me to recommend I apply for this position. The interview is with a panel including HR, the manager and 1-2 Parent Advocates. They take turns asking you the questions and then give you an opportunity to ask questions. I didn't get the job but my references were contacted and when I asked for feedback I was told I was one of the top candidates.

HR reached out to schedule an initial 30-minute Zoom meeting, so make sure to check your spam folder for that email. They sent everyone a list of questions beforehand, which was good for fairness. The questions were typical for a public interest group, but I can't share them. Six people were in the meeting, and it was intimidating that half had their cameras off. The interview followed the provided questions pretty much. They didn't seem impressed by my answers, which I thought were okay and honest; they never smiled or nodded, maybe to seem neutral? It was unnerving. The interview finished right on time. I didn't get to ask all my questions and was asked to email the rest with three references. I took another offer later and pulled my application before hearing from the hiring director.
