First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BrightView.
Sales Arborist
The recruiters and leadership team were great, but the branch level management didn't quite measure up. There were some differences in pay structure between the branch level and upper management, which ended up being a reason I decided not to move forward with them.
- What's prompting your consideration of leaving your current job?
Project Engineer
The process was very straightforward and professional, more like a conversation than a formal interview. It was a great experience overall and I learned a lot. The person who did the phone screening was also really nice and even offered some advice before the interview.
- Can you describe your experience with document coordination?
Sales Leader
The interview process was far too long. I went through 6 rounds and was told that one more round was being scheduled. After poor communication, 6 lengthy interviews, and being told that I would get the final interview scheduled within 2-3 days, and then silence… About 2 weeks later I get an automated email over the weekend saying no longer under consideration. Selecting a different candidate is fine, but to tell someone to watch their email for a calendar invite to the final step and then no courtesy of any feedback or a phone call after 6 interviews and to just send a generic “no longer under consideration” is absurd. Treat people’s time with respect and give someone the feedback they deserve after going that far into a process.
- How would you manage a geographically dispersed sales team in multiple states that is currently not meeting its performance targets?
Marketing Coordinator
I went through FIVE interviews for the Marketing Coordinator role at Brightview, only to be ghosted. I did everything right: showed up on time, gave my best answers, and sent follow-ups after each chat referencing what we discussed. After the last one, I sent my follow-up and heard nothing back. A week later, I emailed the recruiter for an update, but still, nothing. It was super rude and a huge waste of my time, honestly. I found a great job later, but this whole thing really left a bad impression.
- What makes you passionate about marketing?
