First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BrightView.
Account Manager
I was interviewing from out of state. First, there was a phone interview with the HR recruiter. Then, a second phone interview with the branch manager, who would be my direct boss. After that, I had a third phone interview with the regional vice president, my boss's boss. Finally, I flew in for an in-person interview. I had to cover my own travel costs since they don't cover it, at least not for an Account Manager position. During this all-day, on-site interview, I met everyone in the office. I spent my day with the branch manager, talking and driving to some of the job sites. All the interviews were informal conversations, focused on getting to know each other. I was really impressed with how professional and friendly everyone was.
- What's your reason for wanting to leave your current job?
Account Manager
It was a simple 15-minute interview with 3 questions. It felt very generic and scripted, not offering much opportunity to discuss skill sets. The interview was straightforward but lacked depth. I expected more diligence from a large national company. After the interview, my follow-up attempts via phone and email were not returned; I was ghosted.
- What salary range are you looking for?
Account Manager
The interviewers were really familiar with the process and professional. They seem to work hard and smart, and are professional driven people who are used to working overtime. This was repeated.
- That is not a good question.
