IT Service Desk Engineer
A recruitment company reached out about a contract role at Brenntag. I applied and then had interviews with both the HR team and the Technical Lead. They told me about the company and the job. It was a friendly chat, and I felt like a good match. I talked about my career goals, my analytical skills, and how I approach problems. A few days later, the recruiter let me know that they liked my skills and experience, but they were worried the job wouldn't be challenging enough for me and that I might leave soon for something more demanding. So, they went with another candidate.
- Can you handle managing and tracking multiple tasks at once?
Commercial Assistant
I interviewed for a commercial assistant role in the Nordic office. The first interview was in late August and lasted about 15 minutes. I didn't hear back for a week, so I emailed to follow up, but got no response. Another week passed, and I received an email to schedule a second interview, which took place two weeks later. This meant the second interview was a full month after the first. The HR person rejected me via email two days after my interview, even though she said I could reach out with questions. She never replied to my earlier email. It was a pretty bad experience overall.
