The interview process involved two rounds: initially, I spoke with one program supervisor, and then I met with both of them for the second interview. The questions were pretty standard, and it was evident that they carefully reviewed my resume. They asked me about a paper I had written three years prior, and also about a club I had been a part of for only a few months. Honestly, just be confident and sure of your abilities and you will be fine. Don't be afraid to be yourself!

This was for a temporary role. 3 rounds total. First round - they went with the other candidate. Second round - I interviewed to support the CHRO, and they said "We'll pass." Third round - I get a call that they want to interview me again, and I was hesitant. Feedback was, "She has a lot of experience, we want someone with less experience to fit in with our culture." They initially interviewed me because I am a career EA and have experience. Bottom line -- ageism. A younger person will "fit in with their culture." So much for a company that thrives on diversity.

Selected candidates got emails. The first interview was with a senior counsel and a counsel. They were open to phone or Skype interviews which was awesome because I couldn't travel. The interviewers were direct about questions and expectations. For the second interview, I met a department head, an HR manager, and a senior counsel. They initially asked me to come in person, but I explained that it wasn't feasible due to cost and time, so they set up a phone interview. The interviewers were friendly, but again, very straightforward with questions and what they expected.

The interview itself was quick, about 15 minutes, but I had to wait over an hour after my scheduled interview time. The interview was not conducted by an HR professional, and the interviewer seemed to have little interviewing experience, as the questions were relatively straightforward, but overall, seemed unhelpful in distinguishing the best candidate (i.e. yes or no questions like, "are you flexible?", which anyone applying to the job would know to say yes to... Company culture seemed pleasant but somewhat stressful. Rejection email was surprisingly pleasant and personal. Overall, the experience was not overly negative or positive.
