It was a standard interview, about 45 minutes long. They asked about my knowledge of Brennan Center topics and my previous experiences. There were also general questions like 'tell me about yourself', but nothing too difficult. I had plenty of time to ask them questions as well.

The interview process involved two rounds: initially, I spoke with one program supervisor, and then I met with both of them for the second interview. The questions were pretty standard, and it was evident that they carefully reviewed my resume. They asked me about a paper I had written three years prior, and also about a club I had been a part of for only a few months. Honestly, just be confident and sure of your abilities and you will be fine. Don't be afraid to be yourself!

I didn't end up getting hired as an intern for the Justice Program, but the interview was nice and the people interviewing me asked good questions. I filled out a Google Form beforehand with my availability. They communicated clearly through email, and I really liked how professional the Brennan Center was during the whole process.
