The hiring process was long but showed how committed the company is. If you're really into the role and company, it won't feel too much. They're a super talented company and their hiring process reflects that. First, I talked with the HR Manager and COO. Mostly, they asked about my understanding of the company and me. Then, I did a written project. After that, I had a second interview with the HR manager, COO, and CEO. They asked questions to check my creativity and authenticity. They want you to enjoy the process and be yourself. Then, I got a second creative project to show my skills and personality. I got an offer 2 weeks later. The whole thing took about 2 months because their openings depend on client flow.

I had 4 interviews in total, starting with a phone screen, and then they had me do a project after the third interview. The first three were pretty standard. They asked me to create a pitch deck for a fake social media campaign, which I thought was a bit of a pain since it took me about 2 days, even though they said it would be around 5 hours. After I submitted that, I had my last interview with the CEO and two VPs who didn't say much. This final interview was kind of wild, as others have noted. The CEO asked a lot of 'what if' questions that felt like philosophical riddles. I had prepared for this, but it still felt unprofessional. It was like a really weird, high-stakes speed dating session. Overall, it's a strange and unnecessary process, though the company seems fine.

I was interviewing and things were going okay until I mentioned I wasn't in LA. The founder's attitude changed and he seemed to lose interest. I started to ask my questions, but he cut me off and asked me to save them for later. Instead, he wanted me to create a branding proposal for a toy company and submit it within 24 hours. I did, and it was great, but I never heard back. No rejection either. I was left wondering what happened. I emailed them, but got ghosted. It was super unprofessional not to get any kind of response after doing the proposal.

The interview started with a bunch of impersonal, quiz-like questions. While I get they're trying to assess my experience, it felt strange to dive in without a better understanding of the role or how the interview would go. Hearing about others being ghosted after assignments made me hesitant. I also didn't realize this was an entry-level role, which wasn't clear from the job description. They offered a salary under $39k, so I decided not to continue.
