The whole thing took about 3 months, but I could have ended it sooner if I withdrew. Don't apply if you don't want to spend a lot of time on interviews. There were multiple rounds and some projects to work on. The final round involved creating and presenting a pitch deck about myself. I put in a lot of time, and it was an interesting and unique process that I don't regret. It felt worthwhile, but I'm disappointed with the company. I think for final rounds, they should only select a few applicants. The final round should be when the company is ready to make a decision, but they seemed to always be taking applications and weren't ready to decide even after 2 months. It's tough because it's a difficult time right now with COVID-19, and applicants are already having a rough time. Being put into a final round just as another 'step' made it more anxiety-inducing. It was disappointing to hear they were still interviewing 4 months later. I heard they hired someone but let her go very shortly after, which raises some questions. Overall, I do want to applaud the company for being responsive and transparent with my emails, and I wish them the best.

I was interviewing and things were going okay until I mentioned I wasn't in LA. The founder's attitude changed and he seemed to lose interest. I started to ask my questions, but he cut me off and asked me to save them for later. Instead, he wanted me to create a branding proposal for a toy company and submit it within 24 hours. I did, and it was great, but I never heard back. No rejection either. I was left wondering what happened. I emailed them, but got ghosted. It was super unprofessional not to get any kind of response after doing the proposal.

It was a pretty chill interview, mostly talking about my background and how I approach design projects. I didn't get a chance to ask any questions, but I figured it was early days. They did give me a design project, which was unexpected but kind of fun. I put a ton of work into it, but then heard nothing back. It's frustrating when companies assign work like that and don't follow up.
