The technical interview wasn't great, as the job description didn't really match the questions asked. They mentioned that working from home is only available a few days a week, which is a bit of a bummer since most people expect a hybrid model these days, which is pretty practical.

The interview process has 2-3 rounds, depending on the department you apply to. First is CV scanning and an HR phone call where they'll ask a few questions about you and your commitment to working full-time. Then, you'll have an offline face-to-face interview with 2 employers who will ask questions based on the job requirements and your CV. Optionally, there's a third round, a line-manager interview, if you pass the second round, for a short discussion to decide the final outcome.

Technical Technical Presentation

I got a call from CareerPath consultancy. Then, there were 2 technical rounds of interviews. I passed both, and they asked me to come to Bangalore for a face-to-face HR discussion, saying it was a done deal. I believed them and booked a flight last minute with my own money. It was a big waste of time, effort, and cash, and super stressful. Really let down by this well-known company.

The interview at Bosch Global Software Technologies was a good one and technically tough. It was about the PGN simulator project, and they wanted to know how much I knew about the CAN protocol, J1939 standards, and simulating real-time data. I showed them how I've worked with encoding, decoding, and diagnostics for messages. The panel liked how I could solve problems, contribute to the project, and explain how system integration and testing workflows work.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Could you elaborate on your grasp of PGN frames and your experience with the J1939 protocol, as well as your work with Raspberry Pi?
  • Tell me about your experience with Raspberry Pi in relation to PGN frames and the J1939 protocol.
