First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Boot Barn.
Sales Associate
During their holiday seasonal hiring, three to four people sat at a table and we took turns answering questions about ourselves and situational questions. Very easy conversations with the management team.
- During their seasonal time, were you going on vacation?
- Would anyone taking vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas time not be considered?
Assistant Store Manager
After reviewing your resume and application, we'll schedule an interview. The first chat is with the store manager, focusing on sales knowledge like KPIs, your experience, hypothetical situations, and expectations. The second interview is with the District Manager, covering those points plus experience-based and pay questions. We'll then review the interviews and do a corporate review before making an offer. The whole process takes about one to two weeks.
- Could you tell me about your experience managing staff, and what was the size of the teams you managed?
IT Help Desk
The interviewer was great and discussed the company's growth. They were professional throughout and provided feedback even though I wasn't hired. My experience with Boot Barn was positive, and it boosted my interest in IT support and skill development. I'm still interested in working with them and recommend the company for a professional and learning experience. Thanks, Boot Barn, for the opportunity.
- Could you tell us more about yourself?
District Manager
I was contacted by a recruiter for the brand to schedule an interview. It was a straightforward conversation with basic questions, and it went well. They then wanted to arrange a second interview with the regional VP, so I provided my availability. However, after two weeks without any contact, despite sending two follow-up emails, I was eventually informed that they had decided to move forward with another candidate. I felt this was quite unprofessional.
