So I did really well in the interview and got good feedback, but then I was rejected. Turns out they weren't hiring for the job I applied for anymore and had changed the job description, which they didn't tell us. It's really annoying to get rejected when you gave it your all, especially for a reason that had nothing to do with how you interviewed. As an HR person or recruiter, you should be upfront about this stuff and give real feedback when things like this happen. I would have appreciated a call to explain. Instead, I got a generic rejection email, which was disappointing since the real reason was a change in the job role.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I used my network connections and LinkedIn to reach decision-makers. This led me to the hiring manager, who then connected me with the GTM Recruiting team. I had two 30-minute chats with the hiring manager. The first time, we talked about my background, why I was interested in Boomi, and the team's current situation, including how I could contribute to the culture and execution. The second chat, the manager shared their leadership style, what they expect from the team, and their vision for the future. After that, I met with one of the hiring manager’s peers. We discussed the challenges typically faced in the role, the future of the Account Manager function, and how my experience fit in. There was supposed to be another meeting with the hiring manager’s boss, but things moved quickly to a final mock discovery round because I mentioned I had another offer. I ended up withdrawing before that final round since I had already accepted a different offer. Overall, the new leadership seems experienced and steady. They have high expectations for sales performance, which is really appealing to me as a salesperson. I'd suggest checking out opportunities at Boomi. AI is definitely the future, and Boomi is right in the middle of it.

So far, I've had two interviews, and it's been a really smooth and professional experience. The first one was with HR, about 30 minutes on the phone. It was pretty structured, not just random chat, but really specific questions, like they were ticking boxes to see if I hit the marks. They wanted specific examples from my past work to check if I'd be a good fit. Then, I had the second interview with the hiring manager, also around 30 minutes. This one was more laid-back and chatty, more about me as a person and my background, not so much the tech stuff. It seemed like they wanted to get a feel for me and see if I'd mesh well with the team. Both people I talked to were great, super nice and professional, and the whole vibe was positive. Booking the interviews was easy with their system, and I liked how quickly they got back to me with feedback after each step. I'm waiting for the next round now, and honestly, it feels really well put together and nice for candidates.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

There were 3 rounds of interviews for this role. The first was a phone screening, the second was with the hiring manager, and the third was a demo presentation. This whole thing took about a month. It was pretty well organized. The demo presentation was the most challenging part - you really need to understand the case details, technical requirements, and product specs, which can take a bit. They give you a sandbox environment and tons of documentation to help out. The hiring manager also set up a casual meeting beforehand to answer any questions I had.
