First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Boomi.
Software Engineer
The interview was moderate, with 3 rounds. The first round was slightly tougher, diving deep into topics and basics from my resume, covering OOPS, core concepts, DSA, SQL, and Java with real-life application and scenario-based questions. The other two rounds were more straightforward.
- Could you design a system for Docker Hub that handles the issue of duplicate image storage?
- Describe the high-level components of a UPI payment gateway using OOP principles.
- Explain the entire process that occurs when someone types 'google.com' into their web browser.
Software Development Engineer
The interview process included 2 technical rounds and 1 HR round. The first round was mainly based on my resume, with some basic DSA questions covering arrays, strings, and hashmaps, as well as some OS concepts and MySQL queries. The second round was similar. The HR round involved typical HR questions.
- Can you tell me more about your projects?
- Do you have experience with basic data structures and algorithms like arrays, strings, and hashmaps?
- What is your understanding of operating systems concepts?
Software Engineer
So, the second interview, which the recruiter said would be about my projects, ended up being full of personal questions and random system design stuff that felt like a trap. The interviewer seemed to brush off my answers. It gave me a weird vibe, like maybe they favor Indian candidates. The recruiters themselves were cool and helpful though.
- Tell me about some personal questions and obvious system design questions they ask to debate you without listening
- Can you share some personal questions and system design questions that allow for debate without active listening?
