First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Boomi.
Sales Development Representative
The interview process was very quick. First was a screening call with a super helpful and nice HR person. Then an interview with the hiring managers asking about past experience and sales knowledge. After that, a straightforward cold call activity to check call command and objection handling. The second interview was with the director, which was also pretty chill. Overall, a very nice experience. The HR lady presented the offer with her nice Irish accent, and I was thrilled. Compensation is good compared to the industry.

The interview process consists of 3 rounds, the Recruiter Call, Hiring Manager Interview, and Assessment. Overall it was okay, but there are a few red flags throughout the process: Like stated in the other reviews - the job posting says remote but during the first call, the recruiter told me that it's 5 days in person. Both interviews with the recruiter and hiring manager have a non-traditional flow. They take one-third of the time to tell you how good Boomi is, and how they are looking for the most intelligent people to join. The hiring manager is late to the interview (~5) without acknowledging/apologizing. The recruiter says that there will be 45 minutes for the hiring manager interview, but the interviewer left after 30 minutes. Towards the end of it, there're only 2-3 minutes for questions. Boomi seems to be a great company with amazing products to offer. However, as a candidate, they give you little respect for your time and your efforts. They had to reschedule, and never get back to you within the time they promised. The leaders seem arrogant and it's questionable what the team culture will be like within the organization. That being said, this only represents my own experience with the company.

So many red flags with Boomi, I turned down their offer. First, the hiring manager missed our interview schedule. When they scheduled it a second time, the recruiter told me that he actually wasn't free and would need to move our schedule again. Second, I never got the chance to ask the hiring manager any questions. He liked to share his own experiences to relate to mine, but I was never given the chance to ask him questions. Third, during the initial interview with the recruiter, I was told that the salary range was C$86k-C$115k for OTE. 60% of that would be the base. Given my experience, I told the recruiter that I would demand the top range of that and he agreed. He said it would depend on my interview and assessment. When they gave me an offer, it was C$85500 despite them giving me feedback that I "crushed" my interview with the HM and assessment. I'm glad I did because I filtered the reviews from sales reps on Glassdoor and Repvue and it doesn't seem promising.
