The interview was good. We spent a good amount of time discussing books, which to me showed they really care about customer service. The other questions were typical for a retail job. They also asked about my school schedule so we could arrange a work schedule.

I've interviewed twice with BAM and the first was a pleasant experience - good communication, great interaction from the manager I was interviewing with and unfortunately salary negotiations weren't aligned. Second time, I had an awful experience with the HR representative who interviewed me in May 2021. They were completely lacking in schedule (missing original time call) and then did not follow up. I contacted twice before receiving an email they chose a different candidate. BAM seems like it would be a fun environment but I was put off by this interview.

I applied for this job over three weeks ago. I got a response quickly and went through a pre-interview. Then, I scheduled an in-person interview for the following week. When I contacted the District Manager I was supposed to meet with, they told me they wouldn't be in town. So, we rescheduled for another week. Again, I reached out to confirm a time, and I got an email asking for a last-minute change to the interview date to that very same day. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it and asked about the originally scheduled day and also called and left a message, but I never got a reply. I'm not interested anymore.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you describe a typical day in your last role?
  • What did you enjoy most about your previous job?
  • Tell me about your experience with ordering, merchandising, and managing different store sections.
