I walked in and handed over my resume. Then, I had an introductory meeting with the manager of the location. It was a pretty straightforward process, and it felt like they were primarily assessing for cultural fit.

I had my initial phone screen with HR that started on time. HR told me that my next interview would be in person a week later. I had to follow up via email to see if the interview was still happening. When I got to my interview day in the store, I was told I'd get an update in a week for a final decision, but I had to follow up again for an update. I ended up having a 3rd interview that was pretty quick and was told I'd get a final update within a week, but never heard back.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I had a recruiter call and then four interviews with the leadership team. They communicated well and the interviews were engaging and timely. I made it to the final round but didn't get the job. The HR person gave me feedback when I asked. The whole process was smooth, but I was disappointed. Months later, the same recruiter contacted me about a new role. I spoke with a leader, and the call ended enthusiastically with next steps. After the next steps were supposed to happen with no follow-up, I contacted the recruiter, who never replied. After a while, I contacted the leader I spoke with, but they also never responded. I really liked the people at Bluemercury and I am so disappointed I was treated like this. I don't understand why they couldn't send a simple 'we are no longer interested/this opportunity is no longer available' email. Why reach out to me only to ghost me and waste my time?

I saw there was an opening for an esthetician at the store I'm working at, so I applied and they called me for a 1:1 interview the next day. When I got there, I filled out an application for 10 mins and then the manager talked with me. She asked about my experience, my strengths/weaknesses, how comfortable I am with clients and sales, etc. Then she had me do a quick brow wax to see how I work. The manager wanted a second interview for hands on testing where I did a facial and body waxing. Lastly, I got a call from the DM for a quick Q&A and then immediately after, the store manager called to offer me the job!
