Ils étaient rassurants, car le cadre des visios pouvait être intimidant au début avec une personne seule dans un grand bureau vitré et d'autres employés sur l'appel. Ils nous ont laissé le temps de parler et de présenter notre portfolio. Les questions portaient principalement sur notre vision de l'architecture et de l'urbanisme.

I applied online and after a few months they reached out to schedule an interview. The interview was really nice and gave me a lot of insight into the role. They were looking for someone with specific skills for a particular project. Everything seemed to align well, and all the interviewers were very nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, I didn't get the job because they needed someone immediately, and my visa takes a few weeks to get issued. It was sad, but I understood.

The interview process is quick and straightforward. First, you'll give a brief personal presentation (5 min) to share your background and experience. Then, you'll show 1 or 2 projects from your portfolio (15 min), where they'll check out your design process and how you use tools like Rhino or Grasshopper. After that, they'll ask about your favorite BIG project and one you'd critique, to see how you think and give feedback. Finally, you can ask questions about the company or the job. They're evaluating your communication skills, design ideas, and how well you'd fit with the team.

I was contacted by some partners for an interview, though the specific partners kept changing, at least three times. The interview itself felt very one-sided. They didn't introduce themselves, the company, or their expectations. They simply stated they were looking for architects and wanted me to show them some projects, starting with me sharing my screen within the first 20 seconds. All portfolio-related questions were basic inquiries about whether I created a specific drawing and what software was used. They didn't ask about my interests or try to get to know me. I got the impression they're primarily looking for people to produce drawings. There was also a sense of superiority, like a 'starchitects' vibe, essentially asking, 'Why should we let you into our club?' Overall, it was a negative experience.
