The hiring process had 3 rounds and an assessment, taking about a month. HR was good at responding until the end when they closed the position a week after my final interview. This has happened before with other roles, which seems unprofessional and unethical. Candidates put in a lot of effort, expecting the same from employers, but it feels like a waste of time when roles are opened and then closed without explanation. I'd advise against this company due to their hiring practices.

I had previously worked for Big Leap and left on good terms a few years back. When I reapplied, they asked me to do a short sample for an optimized landing page. I did the sample, and they said I'd hear back in about a week and a half. But the hiring manager never got back to me. It's been three weeks, and I haven't gotten any response, even after sending multiple emails asking for an update. It seems like the company isn't what it used to be.

Behavioral Technical Case

The hiring process involved two stages plus an assessment, and it was completed in under two weeks. The first interview was with the director and two managers who needed a specialist. It was laid-back but not totally informal. They asked about my preference for agency versus client-side work, my SEO knowledge (mainly keyword research and tools), work habits, and other basic questions about my experience and start date. Then, I had to take a personality test and complete a site audit assignment within 48 hours. After that, I had a second interview with the same people and a leadership team member, where they asked more in-depth questions about my experience, behavioral questions, and some cultural fit questions.

Behavioral Presentation

I had an initial chat with HR that was nice and informative. Then, I interviewed with the hiring manager who asked about my experience and contextual questions for the role. After that, I met with the executive team to see if I was a good culture fit, which they clearly care a lot about. They had me come in to give a presentation with ideas for a sample client, and they paid me for that. The last interview was with my manager and another executive to wrap up any loose ends. The leadership at Big Leap was really interested, respectful, and genuinely wanted to make sure it was a good fit for everyone.
