Behavioral Technical

It was a 5-step process starting with a recruiter chat, then a criteria assessment, followed by a hiring manager chat, then a functional leader chat, and finally a peer interview. They were good communicators and answered questions about the role and company's current situation clearly.

I had 2 interviews: one with HR, the second with a manager in the US and had a third interview scheduled; however, it was cancelled one day before. They never contacted me to reschedule or responded to my follow-up emails, they ghosted me. Terrible experience that shows very little professionalism.

The interview process started with a phone screen, then an online assessment (an IQ test, which was a terrible idea). After that, there was a behavioural interview, followed by a technical interview with a senior engineer. The hiring manager also conducted a behavioural interview. Finally, there was a stage to assess team fit. The whole thing took about a month because it was disorganized. Interestingly, the two behavioural interviews had a lot of the same questions. The technical interview was tough for an entry-level role; they expected proficiency in four company frameworks, many tools, multiple databases, system design, frontend, and automation, which seems like a lot given the tech stack.

The whole thing was pretty smooth. I first got an email from the recruiter and we set up a 30-minute call. After that, they sent me this task to do on a local website. I had to write a user story, acceptance criteria, and at least 2 test cases for 7 specific features. They also wanted me to find as many bugs as possible on the website, plus there was one SQL query question. I did well on that, so they scheduled my next interview. The second interview was a 30-minute chat with the QA manager. Then, I had a 30-minute interview with the Director of Customer Success. I thought that was it, but nope, they emailed me saying there was one more interview, a 2-hour one with 4 people. They were all nice. Sadly, I didn't end up getting an offer.
