Sales Development Representative
The interview process was incredible, from start to finish. BetterCloud reached out to me on LinkedIn and I was quickly connected with a recruiter who I communicated with from the start. There are about three stages to the interview. The first stage was a standard phone conversation with the recruiter. The second stage involved submitting a writing exercise for an email you would potentially send to a prospect, and also choosing a prospect and company. If you move on to the final round, you'll be asked to give a 10 minute presentation about something you are passionate about. It is really an opportunity for the panel to see your personality. The process itself was very straight forward, and as long as you are prepared, should be very seamless. They are always there to answer any questions you have. I felt extremely welcomed and comfortable from minute one.

Sales Development Representative
A recruiter reached out, and we had a good conversation. She made me enthusiastic about working for such a great company, and mentioned that my experience was exactly what they were looking for. She also noted that most SDRs are recent grads, so someone with actual sales experience would be a great asset. I felt confident and prepared for the next stage. Because a new SDR manager had just been hired, they suggested we reconnect in a week to set up my in-person interview. When I followed up, they informed me they were moving forward with a candidate who was further along in the hiring process and would keep me in mind for future openings. This was unexpected, so I requested feedback on why they initially said I would advance and then changed their minds. I didn't receive a response. There are currently open positions, and I emailed the recruiter about another opportunity but got no reply. I'm unsure how other candidates' experiences have been, and perhaps mine is an outlier due to their internal situation, but their recruitment process was poorly managed, and their internal recruiting team appears very disorganized.
- Were there any particularly challenging questions?
- The questions asked were not too difficult.
Sales Development Representative
The interview process was super quick and straightforward, one of the easiest I've encountered. I reached out to the talent coordinator on LinkedIn, and we had a phone screen a few days later, followed by an in-person interview. This involved meeting with five team members who were really interested in getting to know me and my background. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and it seemed like a genuinely fun place to work. I even got an office tour, which was a nice touch. The SDR lead, in particular, was very open about the role and potential career growth within the company, which was great. No curveballs or difficult questions; they seemed to prioritize a good personality and experience match for the role. Although I ended up pursuing a different opportunity, I really enjoyed meeting everyone and could see myself and others thriving in the position.
- What makes you want to pursue a career in sales?
- Tell me about your hobbies or what you enjoy doing in your free time.
