First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Best Buy Express.
Sales Consultant
It was a pretty simple interview process for my first retail job, and I'd say it's a great place to start out. They asked about how I'd handle certain situations and about my past experiences. Definitely recommend it.
- How would you handle a specific situation?
Sales Associate
The interview process was simple and straightforward. The team was nice and welcoming. The interview itself was simple with no hard questions asked. It mainly consisted of questions about what to do in certain situations, like how to deal with a specific customer or what not to do.
- Can you share an instance of a positive customer service experience you've had?
- Describe how you would handle a difficult customer.
- What actions or approaches would you avoid in a customer interaction?
Analyst
So, I had a one-on-one interview for an Analyst role. They looked at my CV and asked some standard questions from it, but then I got rejected in the technical round. The questions in that round were about basic accounting and finance.
- Can you define PE ratio and explain what constitutes overvalued versus undervalued?
Sales Associate
So I got an email from the recruiter about a sales associate opportunity and I emailed them back saying I was interested. I was waiting for them to schedule something, but then like 5 minutes after my email, they called me which I missed! Then they emailed again asking if I could do a phone interview that day and I told them my availability. It's been 5 days now and I haven't heard anything back, even after calling and leaving a voicemail. I sent two follow-up emails asking what's up, but they haven't replied at all. It's pretty unprofessional how they're ignoring my time.
