Technical Behavioral

It started with an odd online prescreen where I had to record video responses to questions after a short time to read them. Then there was a phone interview with HR, which was the only pleasant and trusting part. The final interview was with the store manager and district manager. During the phone call, I was told compensation would be between 30-35k plus sales bonuses and benefits, depending on the location. However, in the final interview, they said, "as this is one of the busier locations, you're looking at 28-32k". The interview heavily focused on selling, asking if I could sell, motivate others to sell, and make sales happen quickly. They seemed to care very little for customers or employees, as long as they got a sign-up for some Bell service. In short, they want to be a hard-selling Bell store, even though many of their locations are next to one, yet they don't dedicate space to it and basically have employees harass customers to sign up for Bell services to keep their jobs.

I had a phone interview that was a 30 min call where they asked what my role would be and how I would manage employees. Then I had an in-person interview where I had to present a 30-day management plan of what I would do.
