Behavioral Other

I had a phone screening and then an on-site tour. The people on the phone and in person were really friendly. It seemed like a busy place that might need people to work extra hours sometimes depending on the time of year, but the management seemed really focused on their employees, which was nice to see.

Behavioral

The interview process was really disorganized and unprepared. The interviewer was dismissive, vague, unstructured, and irrelevant, showing up late. They seemed disengaged, rude, off-topic, judgmental, unresponsive, informal, uniformed, awkward, condescending, confusing, negative, superficial, rushed, incomplete, careless, biased, and unenthusiastic. They were also inattentive, unclear, unhelpful, and unapproachable.

So I had an interview for an Analytics role. They asked about hybrid/remote work and if I'm okay with coming to the office. Also asked why I'm interested in joining, about my past experiences and projects, and my salary expectations. I asked them about their experience in the company, but then they ghosted me with no updates.

Behavioral Technical

The interview was a two-part process. First, there was a Zoom call with 2 people from Berry where they asked some of the more generic questions about why I was interested in Berry, what I hoped to gain and how I hoped to contribute there. They gave plenty of opportunity to ask questions in return about Berry as a company and details about the position. If you did well on the Zoom call, the second part of the process was an in-person interview that was more interactive. There were 3 people from different specializations within the department and they all asked questions regarding problem-solving strategies. They also provided an example of the sort of work the internship would entail and requested that I talk them through my thought process in my approach to each aspect of the problem provided.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • They asked me to clean up an Excel datasheet and present it in a way that was useful and insightful.
