Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Berry Global.
Technician
The interview process was really disorganized and unprepared. The interviewer was dismissive, vague, unstructured, and irrelevant, showing up late. They seemed disengaged, rude, off-topic, judgmental, unresponsive, informal, uniformed, awkward, condescending, confusing, negative, superficial, rushed, incomplete, careless, biased, and unenthusiastic. They were also inattentive, unclear, unhelpful, and unapproachable.
- What industry experience do you possess?
Engineering Technician
It started with a remote interview, and then I had a second one in person. It was a really nice chat, and we talked about a lot of things. They told me a lot about the role and answered all my questions clearly. They asked typical HR questions and some about the job itself. They also made sure I had plenty of time to ask my own questions.
- What is your relevant work experience duration?
Maintenance Technician
Although many folks get hired through a temp agency, you can also apply directly to Berry Plastics via their website or other job boards. My experience was really smooth and fast. I applied online, and within a few days, HR contacted me to schedule an interview for the very next day. When I arrived, they took me on a tour of the facility before we went to an office. There, a few people interviewed me, mainly asking about the current job's requirements and whether I could handle them. Later that same day, HR called to offer me the position. After that, I had to complete a drug test and a physical exam. I started working full-time within a week.
