Full Stack Developer
I found the Beaconfire job on LinkedIn, and a recruiter got in touch. We had a first chat over the phone, then I did an online assessment, and finally, a technical interview. The person interviewing me was really nice, and even when I had some tech problems on my end, she was super patient.
- Can you explain the difference between parallelism and concurrency?
- Tell me about JWT.
- What's the difference between a thread and a process?
Java Developer
First, there was an HR phone call where they asked about my background and personal info. Then, a QA session with two coding problems: one for word count in a string and another for palindrome checking. A tech interview is still pending.
- Basic Java knowledge, for example, encapsulation and related concepts.
- Coding problem: word count in a string
- Coding problem: palindrome check
Software Engineer
First there was a background check, then some leet code testing. After that, a technical interview where they asked about my Java skills, data structures, SQLs, and Spring. They also asked some questions about my resume and past experiences.
- Do you know Java?
- Tell me about your data structures knowledge.
- What are your SQL skills?
Data Engineer
The interviews were pretty straightforward, with two main parts. First, a chat with HR, and then a technical interview. The technical part covered basic Python and SQL coding, plus some general data engineering concepts. They also emphasized the importance of communication skills and being easy to collaborate with, since they plan to provide a lot of training on the technical stuff during onboarding.
- Can you explain the star schema and snowflake schema?
