I had a long writing task for the application, then there were two rounds of interviews. The first round was an informal coffee-chat, it was poorly structured and had leading questions. The interviewer arranged the meeting in a coffee-shop, which gave a non-professional impression. Later rounds were at their office.

There were two interview rounds. The first interview was a technical screen where they asked behavioral questions and grilled me on my resume. The second round was purely conversational. I think the decisions about who gets the externship are based on your referral/school, since outside of a few BYU kids, there were no kids outside of the T25.

This was a pretty detailed interview process, with multiple rounds starting from my direct supervisor and going all the way up to the managing partner. They were mainly interested in my past experience and working style. No technical questions like 'how would you value xyz' were asked.

So the first interview was with the Chief Operating Partner. He's kinda old school and wants specific answers. If you do well in that one, they'll call you back for a second interview which is a few hours long and you meet with a bunch of different people at the company. Some of them seemed like they didn't have anything to do with the job or what I'd be doing day-to-day.
