First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bancroft.
Corporate Director
Started with a talent acquisition screening. Then had a virtual interview. After that, went through two in-person interviews. Got the offer less than a week after the last interview. The whole thing took about 2 months.
- Can you elaborate on your main areas of professional expertise?
Program Manager
The interview process started off well, but then after I made it to the third round of interviews, I stopped hearing from them. It wasn't until I sent them two separate emails over a few weeks that they let me know I wasn't selected for the position. This was all a bit confusing, especially since they had told me in a previous interview that I was the only candidate left. I can understand them choosing to go in a different direction, but the sudden loss of contact and the mixed messaging was very frustrating.
- What motivates you to want to work at Bancroft?
Program Assistant
The interview process wasn't that promising. It involved initial phone calls, a face-to-face meeting, and an observation session. Even though they offer training, I had the qualifications. I have a clean driving background and no prior legal issues. I was led to believe I had the job, but was later told I wasn't a good fit. I never got the chance to show what I could do. The staff I observed seemed to struggle with preparing dinner for the residents.
- Tell me about how you would manage a stressful situation.
Clinical Assistant
they had me write out an answer to a question on paper first. then we took a tour of the facility. after that, they asked me if I felt I could work there and after I said yes, we had the 1:1 interview. it was really good. the interview was laid back and they were honest about the job and its requirements. they are interested in people who are genuinely excited about the position.
- Tell me about a time you had to make a tough choice that turned out to be a good one.
