First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bally Technologies.
Java Developer
The interview process spanned most of the day. It started with a written test covering core Java, databases, and puzzles. The second round, lasting about 1 hour and 45 minutes, was a technical interview focusing deeply on core Java topics, with some questions on Hibernate, Spring, EJB, and databases. Following this, I had a discussion with a director who talked about the company and the role, and also presented a puzzle. Afterward, an HR call discussed the package, and I was asked to fill out a form and provide payslips and ID proof. The process concluded around 4 PM, with an expectation of an offer letter the following week. However, after a month without any communication, my attempts to reach the HR representative were met with unfulfilled promises to check with their Chennai manager. Today, upon seeking an update and clarity on whether to wait, the response was unprofessional: 'if you have any other offer you can go for it.' Since I declined offers from two other companies for this interview and ended up with nothing, I will now consider my other offers.

Senior Software Engineer
So I was interviewed on a Saturday for a senior Java developer role (5 years exp). The interview process was really bad, with about 50 candidates for 5 tech roles (Java, C++, testing, PHP, .NET) and they didn't manage candidates well at all. It took me 11 hours! The recruitment agency said 3 rounds (programming, technical, HR), but Bally Technologies actually had 5 rounds: programming, technical, cultural, director, and HR. I got there at 10:30 am and started the programming test, which finished at 12 pm. I waited 4 hours for the results. A recruiter told me I passed the programming round and to wait for the second round. I waited and waited... By 7 pm, a technical person called me, and the interview lasted 1 hour 10 minutes. They said to wait for the next round. At 8:30 pm, the cultural interviewer called. They asked non-technical questions like 'best innovative thoughts in professional career' and 'how to convert business requirement to functional requirement.' The interviewer would ask a question, then nod off, wake up, apologize, and ask me to repeat. In the middle of this, another technical guy came back to ask questions he forgot. Finally, at 9:30 pm, it was done. More waiting for feedback. After ten minutes, someone slowly told me I could leave. I ended up paying Rs 165 for bike parking. I didn't eat lunch because the food options (veg biryani, curd rice, Maggie, veg sandwich) weren't suitable for me, and they never gave us a clear break time, just told us to wait there. Key issues: no mobile phones allowed, food not provided, paid parking, each round takes at least an hour, unpredictable wait times, they ask additional programming questions in the technical round, and you need a day pass for parking if you come by bike. Programming and technical rounds were okay, but the rest was not good.

Accountant
I got a call from an HR rep at Bally Technologies and after answering some questions, she scheduled me to meet with the Controller. A few days later, I met him. He mentioned they'd had my resume for a while because hiring was on hold due to a merger. Right after our chat, he asked if I could meet his team the next day to get their thoughts and move towards an offer.

interview was little bit difficult but if you are from testing background then chances of getting clear are more. rounds of interview process * written - was easy. if u answer all technical questions then they will call you from interview * 2:1 interview : they will ask you questions related to testing and skills, they will ask you puzzles also and they will try to make you nervous by laughing or by sayin answer is not correct and all * director interview : director will also ask some testing questions and if u impress interviewer in first round then it will not be difficult to clear director interview * HR : this is for time pass. they will check either you will stay or not in company.
