First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bakers Delight.
Retail Assistant
After I sent in my application, the person in charge, who was also the manager/franchisee, set up an interview at the bakery. They were super nice and easy to talk to. It ended up being a bit more detailed than I thought it would be for a retail assistant job.
- For how long do you think you can work without a manager overseeing things?
- Are you okay with encouraging our campaigns and new products when you're talking to customers to make sales?
Sales Associate
It was a really chill interview, not much pressure. They went over the job essentials and expectations. We just chatted, and they asked me about the role. We covered basic restocking and how to upsell items.
- What motivates you to want to be employed at this company?
Sales Assistant
It was a pretty chill process, basically just one interview with the manager and then some trial shifts to get a feel for things. Really straightforward and laid-back overall. Good for anyone trying to land their first job.
- Tell me about your previous retail experience.
Bakery Assistant
It was a simple process. They gave me a call, then I went in for an interview and a walk-around of the bakery. The interview focused on my physical ability, if I could work early mornings, and what my future goals were. I just needed to submit my resume/CV to apply.
- Do you own a driver's licence?
