Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bakers Delight.
Retail Assistant
After I sent in my application, the person in charge, who was also the manager/franchisee, set up an interview at the bakery. They were super nice and easy to talk to. It ended up being a bit more detailed than I thought it would be for a retail assistant job.
- For how long do you think you can work without a manager overseeing things?
- Are you okay with encouraging our campaigns and new products when you're talking to customers to make sales?
Cashier
The interview was pretty laid back. They asked some math questions and talked about my past work in similar jobs. They also asked about when I can work. It was casual but felt like they could make a decision quickly.
- What would be the correct change from $50 for a $14 purchase?
- Can you discuss your prior experience in cashier or similar positions?
- What are your hours of availability going forward?
Baker
The interview was a smooth process. Having previous experience gave me a leg up, but yeah, it was good. I'd recommend anyone with baking experience to give BD a shot.
- What are your salary expectations?
