Candidate-reported interview process

Had a face to face interview with both the manager and the director. It was a good interview overall, more focused on competencies but did have some technical parts too. We talked about my experience, the role itself, and my aspirations.

First, there was a 60-minute test covering numeracy, situational, and behavioral aspects. Then, a 15-minute screening call via Teams. The whole experience was pretty awful and uncomfortable. The interviewer sounded very monotonous and robotic, to the point I thought it might be an automated system, which threw me off. The person conducting the interview seemed annoyed and unprepared when I asked questions about the role.

It started with a Teams call, then an in-person meeting. I had to answer some questions about specific tax matters and then my general work history. It felt very corporate and robotic. The people were nice, but the vibe was quite cold.
