interviewed onsite at their Beijing HQ with 2 economists, 1 current research assistant and 1 HR person. The whole thing took about 30 minutes. Everyone asked about 3 questions each.
The process was fair and consisted of a panel interview with two stages. They asked different questions related to the job and my motivation for applying. It wasn't overly complex, mainly assessing my experience.
The whole thing was online. The first few bits were a pre-recorded thing, and then later on it was a panel interview. It was pretty simple, and HR was nice, but they didn't always tell me the timelines clearly. Most of the first interviews were also about behavior and not technical stuff.
