The whole thing was pretty fast, they really wanted to move things along quickly. First, I had a chat with the recruiter, then a call with the Engineering Manager, and finally a 1.5-hour technical interview. That tech interview was split into three 30-minute segments: coding, SQL, and system design. My only gripe is with the technical interview itself; there were two people from Aderant, and they kept cutting each other off and jumping in with suggestions, which was pretty confusing. Not sure if they did it on purpose or just lacked coordination.
It was a 6-interview process including a recruiter chat, meeting the Hiring Manager, a Presales consultant, the SVP Sales US, the COO US, and a 1-hour personal test followed by a presentation. The whole thing took over 3 months. I barely heard from the recruiter or Hiring Manager, and it felt like no one was really owning the decision. In the end, during the reference check stage, they said they weren't moving forward even though I was sure my references were really good.
The interviewer seemed inexperienced and expected me to explain the role and interview myself. It was hard to take the meeting seriously because the hiring managers lacked attention and thoughtfulness. The interview told me everything I needed to know.
