Behavioral Case

Met with some Zywe folks and people from PE. They didn't really explain why they let go of some long-time, respected leaders. They hit me with a bunch of questions about how I'd handle getting rid of underperformers, boost our falling customer retention, fix our super high salesperson turnover, and turn around our dropping subscription numbers.

First you fill out an online form and then take an online aptitude test to check your logic, problem solving, and personality. If you pass, you'll do a proctored online aptitude test and a Skye interview. This interview will explain the job and see if you're a good fit. They will also ask for W2s to verify your income. If your test results are good and the screening interview shows you're a match, you'll talk to the Regional Sales Manager and maybe the VP on the phone. They will ask a lot about how you connect with customers and close sales, because the job is basically telesales. They want you to make about 40 calls to get 1 meeting, and need 4 prospects for 1 sale. They expect around 25 new calls per day. The average sale is about $15,000. They want people who can really work the phones hard. Depending on your quota, you'll have to make tons of calls. Given the high turnover, I think people struggle to get the traction needed to hit their numbers.

They pick candidates based on their resumes. Then, there's a 2-hour skills assessment. After that, without any further interaction, they send a form email stating they are moving forward without you. Given this process, it's not the type of company I'd want to work for, especially with over two decades of sales experience relevant to the role. Other reviews on Glassdoor also point to a poor business approach.
