Account Executive
The recruiter interview went great, I felt like a sure thing. Then I did an assessment test. After passing that, I was contacted the next day to set up an interview with a regional manager. It went so well that she put me in touch with the VP. I interviewed with the VP and they said I was perfect for the job and had all the qualities they were looking for! They said they'd follow up the next week about the next steps. I never heard back after that. I reached out 5 times to everyone I had spoken with to find out what was happening. Finally, I got a call saying I wasn't a good fit. What a waste of time. Hope you all have better luck!

The interview process was a bit lengthy and included some challenging tests. It started with a recruiter screening, which was a basic get-to-know-you chat. If you made a good impression with your skills and background, you'd proceed to a phone call with the regional manager. Before that call, there was a logic and reasoning test that's quite difficult, with reportedly less than 5% of candidates passing. The conversation with the regional manager was manageable if you're skilled in solution selling. After that, came another standardized test, this time proctored via webcam, before flying out for the final interview. The final stage could involve meeting with 1 to 4 senior people. In my case, I only met with one, and it involved discussing my past experiences and answering behavioral questions. If they decided you were a good fit, they would strongly try to recruit you.
- The test was the most difficult part.

The hiring process has five steps: First, a basic application. Second, an IQ/personality/situational test that feels like the ACT or SAT. Third, a phone screen with a recruiter. Fourth, a 30-minute full interview with the recruiter. Fifth, a 1 to 1.5-hour interview with the hiring manager for the department. If your application isn't strong enough, you won't get to take the exam. If you don't do well in the 30-minute interview, you won't get the manager interview. The exam really seems unnecessary. Interviews are conversational with few typical questions. The downside is the company might keep you waiting, making you think you'll get hired, but they'll hire someone else if a better candidate comes along. This means all the time you invested is lost. Some people wait up to two months to get hired.
- Can you tell me about your resume?
