First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zyscovich.
Administrative Assistant
It was a long and time-consuming process, with more than one interview session on different dates with different team members and the management team. It seemed somewhat disorganized, which is why I didn't go through with accepting the job offer.
- How do you manage multiple deadlines?
Project Manager
It was very professional, with 2 partners interviewing me besides HR. They were really interested in my design experience and past projects. The interview was super thorough and quite long. First, I had an interview with HR and 1 partner. Then, a follow-up interview with 2 partners and the HR person was present.
- Can you tell me about your experience using Revit software?
- What is your experience with the Fl Bldg Code?
Architect
It was a zoom interview where we looked at my portfolio and work samples together, and discussed my technical skills. It included a mix of behavioral questions like 'Tell me about yourself,' 'What is your greatest strength/weakness,' 'What makes you unique,' and prompts to share something not on your resume. There were also questions about how my strengths would help me, how I handle failure and success, whether I consider myself successful, and how I manage stress. They asked for a self-description, a typical work week, my willingness to fail or relocate, my work ethic and style, my ability to work with others, and if I take work home. I was asked about my differentiation from the competition, my self-perception, who I compare myself to, how this role aligns with my career goals, typical work hours, and how I adjust to new environments and company cultures. Finally, they asked about my work pace and how others (co-workers, professors) would describe me.
- What are your motivations for seeking employment with this company?
Marketing Coordinator
It was pretty straightforward. They inquired about my education, my proficiency with Adobe software, and my background in proposal and event planning. I was asked to share proposal samples and discuss my experience in the field, including work with both public and private organizations.
- What kind of proposals have you created in the past?
