SEM
It’s a fast paced company that had a lot of people in and out of the interview. It seemed a bit chaotically organized is how I’d classify it - which is great for a raw powered startup! I never heard back when asked for specific feedback which I thought was a bit weird and borderline unprofessional. The company seems great as does its leaders and people so I was surprised at their lack of follow up. But reading other reviews on here maybe I shouldn’t be. The process overall was a fast paced 1on1 pulling people in asking you specific to high level questions. I never felt I had the full attention of some of the team members as it was evident they were asking me questions but their mind was perhaps elsewhere on related work tasks or what they had to do next... not bad just not efficient.
- Questions asked by team members related to OTT, not necessarily the specific position.
- Questions asked by team members related to the position I applied for.
Business Analyst
I had a phone interview with another junior analyst. It started with two brain teaser questions, one of which I could solve, but I was unsure about the other. Then came some SQL query questions, which I thought I answered correctly, but the interviewer disagreed and said my answer wasn't right. She mentioned there was no such usage in SQL, which surprised me since I thought my answer was straightforward and correct after checking online later. I found it odd that an entry-level analyst was conducting interviews.
- Can you solve the handshake problem?
- How would you weigh 8 balls in three times?
- Answer some SQL query questions.
Ad Operations Specialist
I was emailed about the job and then had a quick 10-minute call with the hiring manager to go over my background. The following week, I had a call with three other team members where they asked more basic questions about my experience. After that, I went on-site for about six one-on-one interviews with different teams. They asked analytical questions, some of which were confusingly worded, and the interviewers sometimes talked over me. I never heard back after spending four hours interviewing, which felt rude. The company culture seemed quiet and like people kept to themselves, which I also got the vibe of during the office tour.
- What is the percent change in temperature if it goes from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius?
Operations Analyst
I applied online. The whole thing took about 4 weeks. It started with a phone interview where they asked some basic SQL and math questions. After that, I had another phone interview with the hiring manager. Then there was a case interview, which wasn't too complex. They were really helpful throughout the interviews, and no questions were difficult.
- Can you explain how to use the join function in SQL?
